Problems with research

4 years 2 months ago #3413 by Marcus150
Hi can anyone help me? the search module does not seem to work, at least on the other simulators connected to the grid, currently on the administrative side if I go looking it gives me only one registered simulator and it is the same where the Robust server resides, while in reality I have 5 simulators registered on the grid on 5 different servers, I don't understand why, I tried them all, the simulators all have the same configuration, I activated the debug and this is the error found:

Hi Marcus150,

- Did you put jOpenSim.Search.dll in each bin folder of each simulator?
- Do you see [jOpenSimSearch] messages on simulator consoles when starting simulators?

Hello, to answer your questions:
1 yes I put the module in each bin folder of each simulator.
2 this is what the console gives me:

20:23:26 - [jOpenSimSearch]: starting initDataUpdate for 91.121.155.41:9009/ width Interval of 3600 seconds
20:23:26 - [jOpenSimSearch]: GenericXMLRPCRequest Method:init_SearchDataUpdate

- Are you using version 0.4.0.2 of jOpenSim.Search.dll ?
- Do you have removed this url in the [DataSnapshot] section of your OpenSim.ini ?
data_services = "${Const|jOpensimURL}/components/com_opensim/registersearch.php"
- Do you have this url in the [Search] section of your OpenSim.ini ?
SearchURL = ${Const|jOpensimURL}/index.php?option=com_opensim&view=interface

Hi, thanks for your help, we use the 0.40.2 version of the modules, yes I commented the line in [DataSnapshot], so commenting it is disabled, yes I entered the exact url in [Search], everything was down like this since first installation, checked and rechecked many times, but it still doesn't work and always gives the same error, I'm considering removing the modules and using the default ones, I already had to do it with groups because it didn't save them in the database

I see 3 simulators registered in your search page (backend)
Is your search problem resolved now ?

Ok but the 3 I saw are on different ip's.
So different Servers / PCs.
So if it works for 3 it must also work for 5 or 10.

yes it's the same reasoning that I do too, but I don't understand why it doesn't work, yet they all have the same configuration
