Snifff, Where is my JOpenSim for J4+ ???

4 weeks 11 hours ago #3925 by WebRain
Hi again :)
my modest sim is maybe the unique fully SSLed instance in the hypergrid :) unfortunately the viewers are not adapted to TP to SSLed instances :( the trick is to search in the viewer map with the direct link without hop:// or secondlife:// and with https:// eg:
hg-economy.cc:9002/Crypto%20Islands%209/125/137/56
this will show you the location and you can TP using the map button ^^ It's still under construction so excuse the mess and welcome when you want :)
(usually you should succeed to TP because i already HG linked the thing by TPing at your sim... maybe OS version thing... i'm on 0.9.3 latest dev).

for the JsonStore, i tortured it a lot when i was experimenting with scripts connected to my blockchain clone prototype... i don't think will help in what i start to call the XML-RPC crisis :) not only NSL team are affected but near all the PHP related to opensim including web interfaces like our case...

in all cases, there was a single PHP 8 problem with "match" use in:
admin\models\zonenationspay.php line 97
i changed it to a simple switch with tha same logic... i will install it and start the tests in my local draft... i will keep you informed about.

Thank you and @++

Hi druskus :)
seems there is some missing files:
\zonenationspay5.2.1\zonenationspay.xml line 38
/site/router.php
the following folder/file don't exist in jOpenSim4.0.4RC2 or even in the old versions
\zonenationspay5.2.1\script.zonenationspay.php line 151
/components/com_opensim/includes/opensim.class.php

the db was successfully installed but the component don't work because the missing opensim.class.php
i will play around this WE... thank you and @++

Hi there :)
just an update about the profile module... i add a feature that allows to export the textures of profiles, classified, picks and others independently of robust and GetTexture service... textures are converted to png or jpg and exported as base64 which is converted back to file on the jOpenSim side and stored in the cache...
Yeah! standalones lifes matter :lol:

@druskus
please verify if the zip file that you have shared is the zip of the right folder! seems to me that you have ziped the wrong one because there is tons of missing things like the BTCPay settings in config.xml and the values of the labels in the ini files... what leads me to think that you have ziped a draft folder :)

in all cases there is all the needed base to work on top of it :)
(just a note: the GPL license does not allow the deletion of the Foto50's commented header! you can add "Modified by" and your credits after...)

Thank you all and good continuation :)

Hi there :)
For some reason that i don't understand, cURL stopped working after an update to joomla version 4.4.9 :( as a direct consequence jOpenSim can no longer have OpenSim data like snapshoutdata and images... strangely, when i rebuild the search from the admin interface it works ?!? and i tried the same thing from a test PHP file and it works too... i think i will rework the thing to make the search get the data directly from the OpenSim database because jOpenSim is already connected to it and i will use the module as a trigger to refresh the data in real time onThingPropertiesUpdate...

Another bug related to the map is the display of VAR maptiles and also classified and event markers that work well in standard regions... at this moment, i just cheating the things by copying the maptiles every 5 min with a cron job... so this display the maptiles in the map but is just a cheat... you can see that here (zoom out... std at north, var at east):
hg-economy.cc/search/world-map?view=maps

also as a first application of my modest textures export kung-fu, i added the images of the parcels to the markers popup and to the guide... the images are updated in real time, i.e. if you change the texture of the parcel in the viewer it also changes the image in the site... the profile images also work :)
hg-economy.cc/search/destination-guide?view=guide
hg-economy.cc/profiles?view=profile&uid=...7c-a330-9f35b88b0e74

There is many good news around... like Bitcoin at +91K$/BTC DOGE +200%... and OpenSim v0.9.3 has been officially released :) i recommend that you update your instances because there are major optimizations in terms of performance and it is really noticeable + is possible to run OpenSim under SSL... so...

I will have a bit of time this week that i'm probably going to invest in getting rid of the datasnapshot thingy, it's an experimental thing and it doesn't work as it should, plus it's extremely resource-intensive for large grids...

@Foto50: At this moment JOpenSim is not in my list of the active projects... it doesn't mean anything right now but in 2025 it will become regrets for you dear :( you have just to publish something in this year like W4OS and Durpal teams did... so...

Thank you and have fun :)
