Notices Tab Greyed out

What version is your OpenSim server?

I see this is an ancient topic, but I am having this same exact issue as well. Groups work perfectly fine, Offline IM's are working...but for some reason the notices Tab is greyed out. I have it set to true in the opensim.ini file but it just fails to let anyone send a notice. I see a few temporary fixes here but after rbowsing through this whole thread cannot find a permanent solution. What is the xurrent fix for this problem, if there is a fix?

There are no temporary fixes on this issue. The access flag bit for sending group notices is '4398046511104' (= bit no. 42), the one for receiving group notices '8796093022208' (= bit no. 43). Most group access flags are up there, far above 32.

If you look at your jOpenSim Admin overview, it will most probably tell you on the right side about "OS Info: running on 32Bit System", that means your server can not handle bit flag operations above 32 and therefor it will not work on this server (I intentially added this info for exactly this reason).

This isnt a limitation of jOpenSim but from OpenSim. But even if I would be part of their team, I would not be able to have a solution here except changing server. There are so many access level issues to handle, by far more than 32 ... some must be above this limit.
