There seem to be some bugs in Kunena with the php version used here

This one I could solve, but some others still there. But I hope I soon find some time to upgrade the server to a newer version anyway

This is a good opportunity to make jOpenSim compatible with PHP 7.x.x like Joomla

I've tested it in php 7.0.7 besides a few warnings in the log file it seems to work fine

So you have replaced all the mysql_real_escape_string?? This would be great!! (not a huge fan of PHP 7, but would be good to know).

Uh, oh ... thanks for reminding me not yet

This affects the interface.php and currency.php "only" which are the central communication bridge between jOpenSim and OpenSim and this I've not tested yet since it would require a change and restart of entire jOpenSimWorld.

But I want to replace those with the Joomla escape functions anyway. Like this we wont need to bother about it anymore if we ever get up to php8 or php9 or whatever there may come ...
