In the backend, when I click on Member I have this message:

That would most likely account for your other errors: http://www.foto50.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=45 - http://www.foto50.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=46 - http://www.foto50.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=47 .

You have to have a working config and connection string for friends and grid status modules to read. I would go over and do a re-install making sure that you\'ve completely removed the 0.1.4 files. That version is not compatible with 0.1.5 as changes were made in internal paths for the global configuration upgrade. You might want to verify that the uninstall through the joom admin is indeed removing all the directories, files, and sql tables for both the component, and the modules. You need a completely fresh start with 0.1.5.

Double check the \"new\" global configuration area and verify that you have indeed input the proper connection information for the strings. Any misconfiguration will produce these errors. Be sure to leave no white spaces in the input boxes either before or after your connection string info.

I take it you mean \"user\" rather than \"member\" in the admin panel. This page will not work either with config issues as this too is querying the database for user information to populate the page. All the configuration settings have been moved to global configuration (thus the path diffs and need for a complete new install). Even with being sure that the upgrade is completed and all component and module files being 0.1.5, you will not have anything work until you configure your connection strings properly in the global configuration area. The global configuration for com_opensim is now located at the top right of the opensim_control_panel. For more information as to how and why the configuration was altered in 0.1.5, please see http://www.foto50.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=23 .

I\'ve learned one lession: never publish a new version in a rush  <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Embarrassed\" />

As you maybe figured out already, catching errors is not the strongest part of my programming. Since in my test enviroment, the settings are (usually) correct, I did not see what the component is doing if that is not the case.

In the upcoming 0.1.6 I\'ve planned a much more improved error catching that at least does not screw up the entire site if some settings are wrong.

Hi djphil,

Glad you have it back up and running! Good work. I think some of the error checking that Foto is putting in will certainly help. It will bring the php errors forward into Joomla language at some point I\'m sure. That and some sanity checks here and there will help out a great deal. It\'s all in progress rather than perfection. That\'s for sure. :) <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif\" alt=\":)\" title=\"Smile\" />:)
